Healing Trauma Retreats — Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all bookings for Healing Trauma Retreats at San Flaviano, Località Palombara 5, 06030 Sellano (PG), Umbria, Italy, operated by Tess Hunneybell / Tess and Me Pte. Ltd. By paying a deposit or balance, you agree to these terms.
1. Nature of the Retreat
Healing Trauma Retreats are educational and experiential. They are not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or medical treatment, and attending does not establish a clinical relationship.
Guests remain responsible for their own wellbeing throughout.
2. Eligibility
The retreat is designed for women who feel able to take part safely in a small, contained group setting.
Any relevant medical or psychological information should be shared in advance so the retreat can be held appropriately.
If at any point a guest’s wellbeing or behaviour raises concern for themselves or others, participation may need to be declined or ended. In this situation, refunds are not offered.
3. Booking & Payment
A deposit secures your place. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the retreat. If the balance is not received by this date, the place may be released.
Prices include accommodation, meals, and the retreat programme. Flights, transfers, travel insurance, and personal expenses are not included.
4. Cancellation by Guest
If you cancel more than 30 days before the retreat, all payments — including the deposit — are refunded in full.
If you cancel within 30 days of the retreat, payments are not refundable.
If your place can be filled from a waitlist, a partial refund may be considered.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
5. If the Retreat Cannot Go Ahead
If the retreat cannot proceed due to circumstances outside reasonable control — such as travel restrictions, natural events, or wider disruptions — every effort will be made to offer an alternative date or solution.
If this is not possible, any refund will be limited to funds remaining after non-recoverable costs. The organiser is not responsible for travel or other personal expenses.
6. Health & Participation
By booking, guests confirm they are physically and psychologically able to take part, that any existing conditions are managed, and that prescribed medication is taken as directed.
All activities — including yoga, movement, breathwork, and optional bodywork — are undertaken at the guest’s own discretion and risk.
7. Conduct
The retreat relies on a respectful, contained environment. Guests are expected to engage considerately with facilitators, staff, and one another.
If behaviour becomes disruptive or unsafe, participation may be ended without refund.
8. Travel & Insurance
Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel.
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly advised and should cover cancellation, disruption, medical care, and personal belongings.
The organiser cannot accept responsibility for losses where insurance is not in place.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tess Hunneybell and Tess and Me Pte. Ltd. are not liable for injury, illness, loss, travel disruption, or damage to personal property arising from attendance.
This does not affect any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Data Protection
Personal and health information is collected only as needed for retreat administration and participant safety. It is stored securely and handled in accordance with GDPR.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Italian law. Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Italian courts.
